Alvaton is an unincorporated community in Meriwether County, Georgia, United States. The population was 168 at the 2020 census. It is located just east of Gay, Georgia.

The demographics of Alvaton are not as well-known as those of Alps, GA. However, the available data suggests that the community is predominantly white. According to the 2020 census, the racial makeup of the CDP was 88.1% White, 8.5% Black or African American, 0.6% Asian, and 2.4% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 1.2% of the population.

The median age in Alvaton was 43.0 years. 25.0% of the population was under the age of 18, 10.2% was between the ages of 18 and 24, 26.8% was between the ages of 25 and 44, 23.5% was between the ages of 45 and 64, and 14.5% was 65 years of age or older.
